School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) were founded in 1833 in Bavaria by Blessed Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger. Our mission is to proclaim the good news as SSND, directing our entire lives toward that oneness for which Jesus Christ was sent. Today we are an international congregation of women religious with nearly 2,000 sisters serving in 27 countries. Learn more at Gerhardinger.org.
