On Dec. 3, 2018, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed Jan. 24 as the International Day of Education in celebration of the role of education for peace and development. By doing so, the international community reiterated the importance of Sustainable Development Goal 4 – inclusive and quality education at all levels.
