Coronavirus knows no borders, no boundaries; what if?
What if God is telling humankind to stop the artificial boundaries imposed on others, whether racial, ethnic, tribal, social, financial, physical, or educational?
What if we, as a human race, decided to “return to God with all our hearts,” to return to love of God and neighbor rather than love of money and avarice toward our neighbor?
What if we, as global citizens, heeded the words of Jesus to love God and neighbor as the first commandment? What if we would hold this “first commandment” as paramount in our lives?
What if we took care of the widow and orphan, the destitute, the homeless, the refugees, those leaving their countries for a better life?
What if we did not abuse one another through trafficking, domestic abuse, violence of any kind, corruption, fraud and hold money as our god?
What if there were no “classes?” What if we lived as sisters and brothers who cared for one another?
What if we dreamed the dream of “what ifs?”
What if we lived the dream?
“Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn, that he may heal us; he has stricken, and he will bind us up.” Hosea 6: 1
