The new Abnormal.
I never want this to be the new normal, that when we are in the greatest need we need the greatest distance.
I attended the burial of one of my sisters and friend. This is when we as community are at our best. We come together to celebrate the life, ministry and mission of someone who has touched so many lives, who has woven the fabric of community.
In this abnormal we are called to a higher calling, one of saving lives over celebrating a life. It is a hard time that in some ways postpones the ritual of closure. What must the women have felt when they were completing the ritual of death and Jesus was missing? We are missing all of us who would celebrate together. This is Lent….much suffering…death.
But there is Easter.
Can we find Easter in this time of distancing?
