Start with your heart, and that start comes from God’s call. It’s there. It’s like the kings followed the star to find Jesus. Just follow the star in your heart. You’ll find your calling. Your call may be religious life, and if it is, just get there - just find answers to your questions, just search, just enjoy being with us, just be part of us. And you will feel happy because in the end you will realize you have really found the star that is within your heart.”

If I could do it again, I'd do it again

“In my culture people don’t become priest or nuns. We are just large families, but my mom really from the beginning she said, 'I really think this is your call, I see you happy and I want you to be happy.'

"I am very extroverted. And when I was much younger, I was more extroverted.  The people who really knew me said, 'Raquel, you are happy, and this is for you. This is just like you - with SSND.' In SSND, you can be quiet, you can be an extrovert, an introvert, but the door is left open.

"So I tell those people who really encouraged me - thank you for that support. Thank you because I’m here, I’m happy and if I could do it again, I’d do it again.”
