For the past two years, a group of leaders from sponsored ministries of the School Sisters of Notre Dame's Atlantic-Midwest Province, as well as Atlantic-Midwest Province staff offices and continuum of care centers, have participated in a province Ministry Formation Program.
The Ministry Formation Program shares and makes present the history, mission and educational vision of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and prepares co-workers to carry on the SSND mission in their respective ministries. The program includes one-on-one mentoring; a curriculum focusing on SSND mission and culture, Catholic teaching, justice and peace, and spirituality; a retreat and a heritage trip.
The first heritage trip was May 8-16, with participants visiting sites in Germany (Munich, Regensburg and Neunburg vorm Wald), Austria (Vienna) and Italy (Rome) that are of special significance to SSND.
