East Side Learning Center
St. Paul, Minn.
An educational partnership of the SSND with the St. Paul schools to provide one-on-one tutoring in reading for primary-aged children from low economic neighborhoods through the support of volunteers and part-time educators.
Good Counsel Learning Center
A tutoring program that provides one-to-one tutoring sessions for children, youth, and adults in reading, language arts, and math. Tutoring is available for adult men and women who are English language learners.
Rising Stars Tutoring Volunteer Program
Elm Grove, Wis.
A tutoring program that provides at-risk students with an individual tutor to strengthen their language arts and math skills. Sixty volunteer tutors help students in both public and private Milwaukee schools.
SSND Educational Center, Inc.
Woodhaven, Queens, N. Y.
Offers educational tools, such as GED preparation, ESL and computer skills, to under-served women of all faiths and ethnic back grounds.
Edmund Rice Christian Brothers North America
New Rochelle, N.Y.
Coordinates retreats, meetings, and workshops for school leaders, board members, faculties, and students, and conducts evaluations of approximately 20 Christian Brother schools in the U.S. and Canada.
Holy Wisdom Academy
One-on-one or small group teaching of adults in learners' neighborhood located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Notre Dame School
Devoted exclusively to educating students aged 6-21 years of age diagnosed with mild to moderate developmental disabilities.
The City Catholic Collaborative
The City Catholic Collaborative is a network of 20 St. Louis City Catholic elementary and middle schools and the parishes that support them. The group strives to work toward collaboration to strengthen the opportunity for Catholic education in the city of St. Louis, Missouri. The work of the Collaborative is funded by a grant from the Incarnate Word Foundation and was inaugurated in spring of 2008.
